I can't believe that I am 24 weeks already. I feel these two little guys everyday now.....I LOVE IT! The baby on my left side is for sure the most active. Today when they were trying to get the heartbeat she would just find it and then SWISH....I would feel that little stinker move and the nurse would have to find it again. It took about 5 min to get a good reading of his heartbeat. But they both have very strong hearts and are doing perfectly. Dr. Noorda and I discussed the possibilities of a C-section today and the options associated with that. I have so many mixed emotions about that. But time will tell what the best option will be.
When Dr. Noorda came into my exam room this morning he mentioned that he is feeling a little overwhelmed with all the multiples, twins, triplets. I quickly asked him if he had someone expecting triplets. He told me that right across the hall was triplets and down the hall was another set of twins. I quickly realized that even though I feel extra special when I tell people about my twins, I might not be as "Special" in there. Dr. Noorda is so awesome. He reassured me that my pregnancy was still special with twins, it was just a coincidence that we were all there at the same time. I know that every pregnancy is special, but I have to say that I feel the most special. I am so lucky to have my little guys coming. And sometimes it still shocks me to think that I get 2.
We have our 2nd ultrasound with the perinatologist on Monday. I can't wait to see them again. I am always so proud to see my two little boys moving about. Then around 31 weeks or so we plan to do a 4-D ultrasound at Fetal Fotos. I can't wait for that. You can see so much detail!
Here is the Uterus comparison for this week. It amazes me to think of this and how it is affecting me. I am really tired all of the time and am started to be uncomfortable on a pretty regular basis. However, for the most part I feel good, and I truly would do it again even if it was a 100 times worse.
They boys are now 1.5 lbs each and are the length of an ear of corn from head to bum.
