My Boys ~ Practically Perfect in every way!

We had our first ultrasound with the perinatologist yesterday.  This is the high risk doctor that we will see every month until the boys are born, since there are 2.  It went so well.  As usual, I was super nervous about what may be seen.  However, my boys are perfect.  Aside from doing multiple acrobatics in my tummy during the ultrasound everything was perfect.  Everything on both boys measured perfectly for their growth stage.

Baby boy B was a little trickster during his measurement session.  There are a few different things that they measure in the brain to make sure the brain is forming correctly.  While the technician was measuring these things in Baby B's brain....all of the sudden she had a strange look on her face and said, "wait a minute."  This of course caused some concern for just a moment to us.  When we began Baby A was head down and Baby B was breech.  While measuring the brain of Baby B, he all of the sudden did a 180 and was now also head down.  This caught her a little off guard because all of the sudden she could not find what she was after....low and behold it was because she was now looking at his butt!  What a stinker.  She did mention that with a single baby it is pretty rare to see that kind of movement so fast.  She said that seeing that with twins is even more rare because they have so much less room in there.  Of course we have the children who will keep us on our toes and constantly surprise & entertain us.  We are so lucky!  Jesse and I are realizing that these little guys are going to be very rambunctious.  We will definitely have our work cut out for us.

One other side note:  There is no doubt that they are boys!  Before all we saw was 3 small dots which indicated boy.....however in this ultrasound we saw serious penis!  There was no question about it.  Our boys are BOYS!

Overall, PERFECTION!  What else can I say?  We are so happy and getting so excited to meet these little balls of perfection.  I am starting to feel them in my tummy more regularly, which I love!  I can't wait until Jesse can feel them too!  It is so amazing to know that they are growing so perfectly inside of me.  I am so lucky to have them getting ready to join our family!  I love them so much and can't wait to hold them in my arms.

More to come as we continue on this journey!  Thanks to everyone for your love and support!

  1. I am thinking that only your first grade teacher, Miss Degen, can really proclaim anything "Practically Perfect!" LOL
But we all know that your boys are perfect, after all, they are your little stinkers!!
